The difference between a 50-year stone veneer and a 5-year liability is invisible from the curb — it is what is behind the stone. A correctly detailed veneer carries a weather-resistive barrier, a continuous drainage plane, weep openings at the base, and stainless-steel ties at the engineered spacing. A failed veneer carries none of those — and traps every drop of wind-driven rain against the sheathing until the wall rots out.
Fadom Construction installs natural stone veneer (limestone, granite, sandstone, fieldstone) and manufactured stone systems with the full detailed assembly required by CSA A371 and Ontario Building Code Part 9.20.6 — including stainless ties at 600 mm horizontal × 400 mm vertical, weeps at 800 mm o.c., and a clear drainage cavity behind the stone.
Beyond veneer, our general masonry scope includes structural retaining walls (segmental and natural-stone), entry and gate pillars, outdoor fireplaces, pizza ovens and BBQ surrounds — all detailed for the freeze-thaw and structural loading conditions specific to the GTA.
